We've all seen it happen.
Once the bug bites, there is no cure.
And its not the cheapest bug to be bitten by, thats for sure.
But no matter what we all say, deep down we all want to be bitten, and it doesn't take much to get excited about it.
For the past few months, he's been thinking. The thinking very quickly turned into looking. And, as the case usually goes, the looking soon turned into buying.
After several attempts to get "the perfect deal", we took a trip to the big city.
I said: If we're going all the way down there (again) we better come back with an awesome one.
He said: Don't worry, I'm gonna find a good one.
So off we went, us, Chad, Britt, and Steve. It was
snowing, but the weather soon cleared and turned into a
beautiful sunshine day. A good sign.
We made it all the way there, and after a little bit of an
accidental detour, made it to the first stop.
"
That's sweet! he said.
"
Cool!" the other he said.
"
Lets take it out" the other he said.
So off they went. Soon back again, all three had the same response, an offer was made, and was quickly rejected.
We'll come back.
So off we went again, to the next stop. One problem. We don't know where the next stop is. Soon stuck in traffic
forever. Finally moving again.
"Oops, I think we went too far. Lets head back. "
Lots of arguing. From every direction in the car.
"Lets call for directions"
Phone call made. LONG list off instructions, most of which were not heard/remembered.
Stop for directions. 2 times. No speak/understand english. 2 times.
Drive too far again. Stop and ask for directions
Drive around some more. The pregnant one getting
slightly cranky. Why did no one bring a map?
Stop for directions. Drive around some more, end up going in circles, call for directions again. Turn around, head back, finally find destination(two hours later).
Finally find
what we've been looking for.
"We're not going home empty handed" said the cranky one.
Offer made, rejected, counter offer, accepted. Finally, this nightmare is over.
Realize wallet is missing. Panic. Drive back to lot. Not there.
Drive back to other lot, find way into first Jeep. Find wallet in cup holder. Panic subsides. Very thankful.
Head home. Below zero. Heater is not working.
Get home, can't feel feet.
Still smiling.
