First things first. Our house has walls. And plumbing. And windows. And a stove.Maybe we're a bit behind in what you folks call technology, but for the cold little heinies on the top of the mountain, this is quite the achievment.
And speaking of the top of the mountain, we went there. To fetch a tree. Not just any tree. A Christmas tree. Poor thing never saw it coming. It being the lumber jack.
And if one is going to fetch his or her own Christmas tree, this is the way to do it. All you need is one grandpa, an enclosed 6 wheeler of some sort, with a heater, and of course a woodsy area.
Then since you are so warm and toasty, in the winter wonderland of your choosing, go for a nice long family ride, until the child falls asleep, snoring and all.
Heat or no heat its always nice to go home to your fireplace and decorate your find.
Your somewhat skimpy find.
And then make a chocolate cake with peanut butter cream cheese frosting.
Build a sad little gingerbread house full of creepy people with your favorite boys.
And why not dump a bowl of powdered sugar on one of them just for the heck of it. He'll laugh about it someday.
(has anyone ever noticed how the tv is ALWAYS on in the background?)
