Its so nice (and handy!) being married the the handyman.

hard at work

While "Grogan" was hard at work digging up the "yard"...

my mountain man was hard at work building this:

And while he was at it decided to refinish this table, and build benches to replace chairs.
He also built a matching bench for our entryway, and has yet another project in the works.
Talk about ambition.
Now I must go-I believe I owe him a batch of cookies.
Its seems like a small price to pay...(especially considering I eat most of the cookies)

He would like everyone to know he is taking orders (smiley face, wink, lol, whatever might fit here)
Seriously though....

First things first. Our house has walls. And plumbing. And windows. And a stove.Maybe we're a bit behind in what you folks call technology, but for the cold little heinies on the top of the mountain, this is quite the achievment.
And speaking of the top of the mountain, we went there. To fetch a tree. Not just any tree. A Christmas tree. Poor thing never saw it coming. It being the lumber jack.

And if one is going to fetch his or her own Christmas tree, this is the way to do it. All you need is one grandpa, an enclosed 6 wheeler of some sort, with a heater, and of course a woodsy area.
Then since you are so warm and toasty, in the winter wonderland of your choosing, go for a nice long family ride, until the child falls asleep, snoring and all.
Heat or no heat its always nice to go home to your fireplace and decorate your find.
Your somewhat skimpy find.
And then make a chocolate cake with peanut butter cream cheese frosting.
Build a sad little gingerbread house full of creepy people with your favorite boys.
And why not dump a bowl of powdered sugar on one of them just for the heck of it. He'll laugh about it someday.
(has anyone ever noticed how the tv is ALWAYS on in the background?)

Lots and lots and lots and lots of pictures

Remember oh so long ago when I gave you a sneak peak at a project Tyson was working on, and promised more pictures to come? I hope not, because it was months ago, and the project has been done for quite some time, yet I failed to post more pictures.
For my birthday, the mountain man decided to build me a dining set. Finally, after almost 3 years of waiting, we were going to have a table.
He worked long and hard

Duh duh duh...

She's done!!!
Happy birthday to me!

.........................................................................................................................................................................

Tyson has been working around the clock on our new house. What used to be an empty field is now a beautiful happy home.

OK, maybe not yet, but its getting there. There is now even a basement floor.
